We, The Scout Associations in the ASEAN countries,desirous of promoting peace,stability and progress inthe region through strict adherence to the principles of the UNITED NATIONS CHARTER and respect theprinciples of sovereign equality, territorial integrity,national independence and others. Conscious that in anincreasingly interdependent world, the objectives of peace, freedom, social justice and economic prosperityis best achieved in the ASEAN region by fosteringmutual understanding, good neighborly relations andmeaningful cooperation among the Scout associations;
